Beautiful

Beautiful is a proposed exhibition; its goal is to empower women to pursue positive body image and encourage them to teach young girls to become confident, passionate women. Understanding beauty culture allows women to analyze its effects and alter their habits to promote healthy, positive images of beauty. This poster layers a photograph of my figure with a photograph of Barbie's idealized form. The contrast between the natural and the manufactured speaks to the multitude of cultural artefacts in our world that reinforce negative images of beauty.
